I think the thing that has helped me the most with my beauty resolutions, is realizing the importance of sticking with it.
As cheesy as it may sound, I’ve realized that what they say is true… achieving health related goals is all about making it a lifestyle. I know, I know, it sounds cliché… But I’m serious, it is totally possible.
My husband and I decided to try out a vegan diet a few years ago. We ended up eating completely vegan for over a year and a half! That was something I would have never believed was possible for this “meat and potatoes” pair. I feel that the main reason we were successful was because we simply decided to stick with it. No exceptions. I’ve always been good at starting, but I tend to give up pretty easily. It is usually the very first weekend on a date with my husband, or when I’m having hormone related meltdown… Once I give up, it’s extremely hard to get going agin. To me, there is nothing worse than starting over again and again.
The biggest things that have helped me stick with it… Read more…
Lately I’ve felt like I’m constantly finding a part of my appearance that I want to improve. Whether I’m starting a new workout plan, changing my diet, trying out a new hairstyle or beauty routine, etc… it can be a little exhausting! Anyone with me? As soon as I accomplish one “goal,” it seems I’m on to the next, never stopping to really be happy with who I am right this minute. Finally, I’ve decided enough is enough.
I’ve decided to make caring about my appearance a part of my every day choices instead of constantly setting big, lofty – yet short term – goals. I want to live a beautiful life instead of seeing beauty as something I’ll hopefully obtain one day. Each day I try to find and do little things that will positively affect the way I feel about myself. I’ve realized my real goal is not only to be beautiful but to also be content with who I am.
I will be posting some of the things that have helped me feel more beautiful and content… both inside and out. I’d love to hear how you do the same in your every day life… please share! Because we are all beautiful and we should never think otherwise!
Happy Friday! This week felt a little long… I’ve been anxiously awaiting the weekend when I’ll have some time to put up my Christmas decor and do a little holiday shopping. I’ll definitely be blasting Christmas tunes. I’m so inspired by this time of year and I’m ready to get creative! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? I’m heading to Arizona this afternoon to spend the weekend with my family! It will be a quick trip, but I definitely over packed…as usual. Do all girls have this problem? I can never decide on what to wear, so I just bring everything! I am so excited for warm weather, sunshine, my favorite Mexican food and being with the ones I love! I hope yours is fabulous! xoxo
All my life, I have never had a “thing.” As hard as I may have tried to find a certain interest or talent that defines me, I have never been able to narrow down something to call my one and only. Although I used to wish for one defining interest, I have grown to appreciate having many different interests and talents. I am inspired by a delicious meal, beautiful clothes, music, writing, a well designed space and creating something from scratch. This blog is a place where I share the things that inspire me and attempt to become better at the many things I love to do.
